Here at True Grit we can offer a number of different activities and skills. It is beyond the scope of this website to list every single combination but I hope that you can find what you are looking for. We are an organisation dependant on our customers and will treat every booking as unique. It’s all about what you want.
If you have very little or no experience we can deliver beginners courses for any activity. Turn up and try without any worries as we look after all the technical stuff and leave you free to learn, experience and improve. Taster courses can be run over any time frame and for any group.
Had some experience of the outdoors? You might be looking to improve your rock climbing skills or get into vertical caving. Stepping it up a gear is what we’re all about. Let us help you push your limits as we coach, push and guide you further.
As daunting as it may seem the world of outdoor pursuits does not require an instructor permanently attached to you. We can train you in the skills needed to be safe and to get out on your own, whether you’re a family getting into rock climbing or a future instructor.
Professional Freelance Instruction for Existing Outdoor Pursuits Providers
Pete, Beth & the TGI staff are available to work as freelance instructors for existing outdoor pursuits companies in any area of the U.K. We pay our own Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions as self employed instructors.

Payment:
Please ensure full payment is received within 30 days of invoice date. Re-

Work is agreed to by means of a written contract, an E-
Transport:
If working within the Peak District or its locale and my vehicle is required during the day, this must be stated in the contract. The vehicle transport cost will be at a rate of £0.40 per mile and will be charged on every mile during contracted working time. This does not include my personal travel to and from work, the base or initial working location. Vehicle costs to working areas outside the Peak or its locale are by negotiation.
Cancellation:
Cancellation within 7 working days will be invoiced for at the full rate contracted.
Cancellation within 7 to 14 days will be invoiced at 50%
Tax and N.I.:
No tax or national insurance is to be stopped at source, it is my responsibility to pay this.
Payment or an agreement/contract to work is acceptance of these terms.
Changes to the original contract are by negotiation only.
